Lea Márquez Peterson, MBA, IOM has been an entrepreneur and community leader for decades in Arizona.  She served as the President/CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2009 until 2018 and was a candidate for Congress in Arizona District 2 in 2018.  She has been recognized with several awards, and is the President of the National Association of Women Business Owners in Tucson. Additionally, she chairs the Boards of the St. Mary's and St. Joseph's hospitals in the Tucson area and is the Chair of the National Small Business Development Centers at the U.S Small Business Administration.


Lea was elected to a statewide seat and currently serves as the Chairwoman of the Arizona Corporation Commission. She has the honor of being the first Latina to serve in a statewide role in the history of Arizona. She received her MBA from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the prestigious Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Arizona.
