Lea Márquez Peterson, MBA, IOM has been an entrepreneur and community leader for decades in Arizona.  She served as the President/CEO of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2009 until 2018 and was a candidate for Congress in Arizona District 2 in 2018.  She has been recognized with several awards including the 2022 Hispanic Business Person of the Year (female) for the U.S Hispanic Chamber and a 2021 Arizona Woman of Influence.


She is the past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners in Tucson and the past Chair of the National Small Business Development Centers at the U.S Small Business Administration. Additionally, she is the past Chair of the Board for Carondelet Health Network's - St. Mary's and St. Joseph's hospitals in the Tucson area.


Lea was elected to a statewide seat and currently serves on the Arizona Corporation Commission and as the past Chairwoman. She has the honor of being the first Latina to serve in a statewide role in the history of Arizona when she was appointed in 2019. She received her MBA from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the prestigious Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Arizona.
